Happy 31st birthday to my niece D

I cannot believe that this niece of mine is 31 years old already. She is my favorite niece. Why? It is because she grew up right to my eyes. She has been through a lot in her life from broken heart to name a few. It has been almost three years since the last time I saw her. We chat through Facebook. 

My niece D, I wish you the best in life. Always remember to thank God especially this very special day of yours. It does not matter if you do not have money or birthday gifts to receive, but what matter most is your healthy and happy. I wish you more birthdays to come. I love you my dearest niece D. You become a very strong woman. Never give up those dreams, it will come true. 

Happy birthday N from our family

My eldest son has a classmate from his class that had a sleep over that night. The next day is his birthday. He turned 12 years old. We thought that he wanted to go home and celebrate his birthday with his own family. We were surprised that he does not want to go home.


I even did not make special or buy him gifts for his birthday. We felt bad. My husband told me that I will make him a cake. I even bought a ready to chicken for dinner just for us. I am glad that I bought some pasta with me. We have that for the night then and have the chicken the next night.
. 

I am thankful that I have a cake mix and frosting in my pantry. I have a carrot mix bake cake and a vanilla frosting. My kids help me prepare the cake mix and the ingredients while I reheat the oven. I mix the cake and my son set the timer for two minutes for me.


We bake the cake at 325 degrees for about 38 minutes. We wait ten minutes to cool off. My summer babe and I help together to put the frosting on. She also put 12 candles on the cake. I hope that we made N's birthday a little fun though we do not have gifts for him.


We had cake after dinner. Here are some pictures I took yesterday. I also took a video. He is one very shy birthday boy.

My Thanksgiving dinner preparations

My hubby is scheduled to work on Thanksgiving. He also will work overtime. He will miss Thanksgiving dinner with his family. We decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner a day before Thanksgiving Day.
 

My husband went with me to the grocery store yesterday. We bought stuff we need for Thanksgiving dinner. I am not a good cook but am willing to learn as always. I search online for classic Thanksgiving dishes. I always love cooking classic dishes. 

I made a list for our grocery trips. We ended buying a 15 ponder young turkey. We also bought stuffing, gravy, beans, pie crust, apples, cranberry, lemon juice, ground cinnamon. It was fun cooking Thanksgiving dinner especially when my family helped out.   

Happy 82nd birthday to our dearest Grandma

Today our dearest Grandma is celebrating her 82nd birthday. I wish her good health the most. I hope that she feels better. Our Grandma was at the hospital because she cannot breathe. She has an emphysema. She is using a tube to help her breath. I wish our Grandma the best health. We got to see her few days ago.

By the way, here are photos when my kids were babies. You can see the difference between my two babies. The big brother is so little because he was born premature. The little girl is so much bigger though she was born a week early. Here is the recent picture of them  I took last Christmas. My kids are growing fast.

Meet Ava the new addition to my little girl’s doll

My little K is such a girl. She loves to play with dolls. She has the two dolls from Dollie and Me. Yet, she wants a new doll to add to her dolls collection. This time she wants a doll from American Girl. I was hesitant at first to buy her a new doll. American Girl dolls are very expensive. It cost $110 for each doll. It is half the price of Dollie and Me dolls. I will not buy her for that. There is no way that I can afford to buy her a new doll for that price.

The husband spoils her. Can you blame her Daddy? My husband said to buy her a new American Girl doll for Christmas. My husband wants her daughter to grant one of her Christmas wish. You should see her Christmas list during Christmas. This girl will cost an arm and a leg. She is lucky that her Daddy will do everything to make his little girl happy. She does also looks like her Daddy. She can wrap her Daddy in her fingers. She names her American Girl doll Ava. I will show more pictures in my next journal.

How about you? Does your girl play with dolls? Will you buy her expensive dolls? My opinion is, American Girl doll is expensive because the material is a lot durable than her old dolls. You cannot picture her smiles and happiness when she plays with her doll.

Kids and their gadgets, what is up with that?

The kids are really lucky to have the gadgets at a young age. I wash in senior high school when I learned how to use the computer. We have to do it in a group as well. Today’s generation is more advance in terms of gadgets. My kids are one of those advance kids that have gadgets on their own.

I took this picture of my kids with their niece. They were all so busy playing with their gadgets that they do not notice that I took a snap shot with them. M is my husband’s grand-daughter who is busy playing her Nook from Santa. The little K is busy playing with my Nook that I got on my Christmas birthday. The big K is busy playing with their iPad.

Happy 62nd wedding anniversary to my in-laws

Today is my in-law’s 62nd wedding anniversary. I cannot believe that they have been married for 62 years. I still remember when my husband visited me in the Philippines. It was his parent’s 50th wedding that time. I wish my parent’s in-law the best of their married life. It is amazing to know that as an American couple, I cannot believe they have been married that long.


They are an inspiration to me. I have been married for 11 years.  I look up to my in-law’s marriage. They both love and always there for each other. My father-in-law is a very funny man. He is very patience too. I always like my father-in-law. My mother-in-law is very pretty even at the age of 81 years old. I wish them both the best in life.

Oh hello September

What can I expect with you September? Well, the school will begin this week. My kids are in 5th and 2nd grades. This is the first time that my kids will ride different bus. The big brother will go in different school. The little girl will go in the same school and ride the same bus. I hope that she is alright riding the bus by herself. I feel badly for her that her big brother is not around to protect and keep her safe.

September also is the start of football. My family cannot wait to watch football. I am sure that out weekend is exciting now that football will start soon. We cheer for our team, The Buffalo Bills, even they stink but we still love to cheer them.

September also is the month where I passed my road test. A week after it is my citizenship anniversary. This month is my 3rd year anniversary as a driver and as a naturalized American. It is also our anniversary when my boyfriend (now my husband) visited me in the Philippines.

September also is the fall. The surroundings will turn very pretty with leaves changing its colors. It is also the beginning of chilly weather. I do not like the cold but have to deal it as I live in America.

She loves her pink scooter

This was May 30th when my little girl was waiting for the school bus. She will have her advance birthday party for her friends that day. It was very late while waiting for their school bus. I think my little girl is very excited to celebrate her birthday that she woke up early.

She usually wear helmet when she ride her pink scooter.  She was wearing head band and her hair is wet that I did not let her wear a helmet. She only rides her scooter in the driveway for few minutes. I am watching her to make sure that she is safe while riding her scooter.


She looks so pretty riding her pink scooter, isn’t she?  I remembered it was during the Fall when I had this scooter for her. The big brother has also a black scooter from the same company. I picked pink and black for her big brother. These scooters are very easy to assemble. It has the adjustable stand for the perfect height for your kids. This scooter has a break too on the back. It is very easy to ride. Any kids are safe to ride with this scooter.

My son has a black scooter which is more advance than my little girl. Both of these scooters are affordable to buy. You can check out from the Website. Thank you Izea for the Valentine’s treat

One of my journal friend shared a picture of the treats that she received from Izea. She asked me if I receive mine too. Unfortunately our mail box that day is empty. I told myself that maybe I was not chosen to receive Valentine's treat from Izea.

I am very surprised that I got a box in our mail box that Saturday afternoon. I never thought that it was the Valentine's treat from Izea. I am very happy indeed and thankful to Izea. It is a company that helps me as write and earn money and received products as free too. I do like this company.

What is inside my Valentine’s treat box? It has treats inside a plastic bag. It also come with a postcard node from Izea. The treats are candies and chocolates like Tootsie roll, kisses, bubble gum and many more. I only eat the chocolates especially the kisses my favorites. It also come with two Valentine’s pencil and a red fortune cookie. I have never seen a red fortune cookie before which I think is very adorable.
This is what is  inside my fortune cookie “ YOU WILL SPEND THE REST OF YOUR DAYS WITH THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE” which is true. My husband is off for four days and the kids have no school for nine days. My favorite of all the Valentine’s treat is this red heart shape soft toy. It is squeaky.

Matching dress with my doll

I was lucky that Santa gave me doll for Christmas not only one but two. I want to say thank you to Santa for my two beautiful dolls. I promise that I will take good care of them. My Mommy is very happy that I love to play with my dolls. She said that when she was a little girl, she only had one doll. She is very happy that I do not have to experience playing with one doll.

I also received matching dresses for me and my doll. This dress that I wore in this picture is not the one that I received from Santa this Christmas. I got this dress but now I am very happy that finally I can wear same dress with my doll. I have seven dresses and pajamas that my dolls and I match. They are very expensive that is why my Mommy only buys when they are on sale. They are from Dollie and Me brand.

Fun at the beach

This was the 7th of July 2012 at Yasay beach, Opol Misamis Oriental, Philippines. My niece, Erica, the one in the middle celebrated her 9th birthday. My sister flew from Cebu to Cagayan de Oro City to spend her granddaughter’s birthday in our home town. I am so thankful that my daughter the one on the right got the chance to meet her cousins Princess and Erica and other relatives. I really love this picture of the girls. The girls are both my nieces aside from my daughter on the right. This was on our vacation in the Philippines this month. Are not these girls adorable? How beautiful this car is

I saw this yesterday while at the park with my kids. I think it is a beautiful car. I love the design of this car. It is so patriotic. What do you think? Do you like it? I am not sure what kind of car this is. Do you know what kind it is? I wonder if this driver likes to collect classic cars because this car looks classic to me. I might be wrong. This is a perfect car for the upcoming Fourth of July. I hope it is in the parade too. My kids will surely like to watch the parade and especially looking at this car.

Red sweet watermelon

I bought this watermelon for our Memorial Day Weekend party at the produce. I paid $6.99 for watermelon. I slice it that night and put in the refrigerator. I was very surprised that the watermelon is very sweet. It is also seedless. My friends enjoyed eating the watermelon. It was very warm that day that munching the watermelon is so refreshing. I think I will buy another watermelon in that produce. My kids love to eat it and it is healthy for them. Do you like eating watermelon too? What is your favorite fruit to eat? Bubba Watson won the Masters champion

My husband and my son love to watch golf on TV. I am watching it too as it is very interesting to watch. We watched the Masters before going to my sister’s-in-law’s Easter dinner. I thought that Bubba Watson will not win the Masters as he is behind. We left the house and continue watch the golf at my sister’s-in-laws- house. Everybody is watching the golf show too. Fortunately, Bubba Watson won the Masters champion. He beats the guy Louis Oosthuizen from South Africa that made Double Eagle. It was a fun game to watch. Did you watch it too?
