Happy 31st birthday to my niece D

I cannot believe that this niece of mine is 31 years old already. She is my favorite niece. Why? It is because she grew up right to my eyes. She has been through a lot in her life from broken heart to name a few. It has been almost three years since the last time I saw her. We chat through Facebook. 

My niece D, I wish you the best in life. Always remember to thank God especially this very special day of yours. It does not matter if you do not have money or birthday gifts to receive, but what matter most is your healthy and happy. I wish you more birthdays to come. I love you my dearest niece D. You become a very strong woman. Never give up those dreams, it will come true. 

I attended a baby shower

J is an old friend of mine whom I met when I first arrive here in New York. She lives in the same island in the Philippines. Though she lives one hour way from my city. We become friends since our babies our little. We also speak the same dialect.

She invited me to attend her baby shower. She is having a baby girl this time. She already have the two boys. This Princess will complete her family. She lives 35 minutes from where I live.

My little K went with me that Saturday. We wear dress. It is very warm that day as well. At first the little K is bored because there was no kids around. J has a son and plays Mine Craft as well. She has a somebody to play the game now.

We had a wonderful time at the baby shower. Most of her guests are Filipino like me. We play games like scramble words, guessing game and a thread to measure how big is her tummy is. The food was all delicious. I had a full tummy when we left. There is also a karaoke. I sing with some of the girls. It was awesome to spend time with adults. I cannot remember when was the last time I attended a baby shower.

I want to say thank you to j and her family for having us over. We had a wonderful time. I wish her good luck and hope she will have an easy delivery. I wish her too an early recovery. I cannot wait to see her Princess. She will give birth next month.

A new outfit for her dolls

I saw this outfit for her doll on sale at American Girl website. It was on sale for $7.50.
I bought three the same outfits for her dolls. The outfits are long sleeve top, pants and shoes. It also comes with a charm bracelet. You seldom see outfits on sale for that price that cheap. I grab the opportunity to buy three outfits.

After we opened all her Christmas gifts from Santa, the little K then dresses her three dolls with the same outfits. They all look like triplets. The dolls are all so cute. She is very funny indeed. She can create silly poses with her dolls. There is also a picture of her with her dolls.

This little girl of mine is very lucky to have the three dolls. I only had one doll when I was a little girl. How about you? Do you play doll when you were little?

Little K opening her American Girl doll last Christmas

Here is a video that I took last Christmas. Take a look at my little K opening her American Girl doll present last Christmas. She is one funny little girl of ours. Please excuse how she wears her Santa hat.  You can see how funny she is. M her niece also is helping her opening her present.

I have an American Girl doll magazines come every month. She told me before Christmas that she wishes that Santa will bring her American Girl doll. She showed the picture of the American Girl doll that she wants.
She wants this doll that has a light skin like her. The doll also has the dark brown hair like her. The doll also has round eyes like her as well. Do you know what she likes about the doll? She said because the doll has the underwear. I am telling you this little girl of ours is very funny.  The American doll wears a shirt, skirt, of course underwear and a boots. She likes her new American Girl doll.

Meet Ava the new addition to my little girl’s doll

My little K is such a girl. She loves to play with dolls. She has the two dolls from Dollie and Me. Yet, she wants a new doll to add to her dolls collection. This time she wants a doll from American Girl. I was hesitant at first to buy her a new doll. American Girl dolls are very expensive. It cost $110 for each doll. It is half the price of Dollie and Me dolls. I will not buy her for that. There is no way that I can afford to buy her a new doll for that price.

The husband spoils her. Can you blame her Daddy? My husband said to buy her a new American Girl doll for Christmas. My husband wants her daughter to grant one of her Christmas wish. You should see her Christmas list during Christmas. This girl will cost an arm and a leg. She is lucky that her Daddy will do everything to make his little girl happy. She does also looks like her Daddy. She can wrap her Daddy in her fingers. She names her American Girl doll Ava. I will show more pictures in my next journal.

How about you? Does your girl play with dolls? Will you buy her expensive dolls? My opinion is, American Girl doll is expensive because the material is a lot durable than her old dolls. You cannot picture her smiles and happiness when she plays with her doll.

Kids and their gadgets, what is up with that?

The kids are really lucky to have the gadgets at a young age. I wash in senior high school when I learned how to use the computer. We have to do it in a group as well. Today’s generation is more advance in terms of gadgets. My kids are one of those advance kids that have gadgets on their own.

I took this picture of my kids with their niece. They were all so busy playing with their gadgets that they do not notice that I took a snap shot with them. M is my husband’s grand-daughter who is busy playing her Nook from Santa. The little K is busy playing with my Nook that I got on my Christmas birthday. The big K is busy playing with their iPad.

Life begins at 40

Do you know that there is a saying “LIFE BEGINS AT 40”? Oh! God I do not know what it means. All I knew is that life starts the moment that we are in our mother’s tummy. Do you know what does saying means?

Anyway, I am very thankful to God for blessing me a memorable 40 years of life. I am very happy with my life. I love my family.  They are my world. I have friends that always by my side in bad and good times. They know who they are.

Today is the first day of being 40 years old. I had a wonderful but simple birthday. I am one lucky girl that everybody is celebrating Christmas which is also my birthday.  My birthday this year is extra ordinary because my husband’s eldest daughter and his grand-daughter is celebrating Christmas with us too.

We went to my husband’s eldest sister for Christmas Eve dinner. We received gifts from the. My kids were very happy to see everybody. We went home almost midnight. The kids went outside and sprayed reindeer’s food and Santa’s dust on the backyard. I am glad that Santa came. We opened their gifts from Santa. Everybody is very happy with their gifts. I received the Nook HD +. I also received a birthday card from my husband and from his daughter and grand-daughter. I had a small but beautiful cake.

Life is more blissful when you have a family that is simple and make you happy. I hope that this year is memorable like every year. How about you? How was your Christmas? I hope you the best Christmas with your family.

Matching dress with my doll

I was lucky that Santa gave me doll for Christmas not only one but two. I want to say thank you to Santa for my two beautiful dolls. I promise that I will take good care of them. My Mommy is very happy that I love to play with my dolls. She said that when she was a little girl, she only had one doll. She is very happy that I do not have to experience playing with one doll.

I also received matching dresses for me and my doll. This dress that I wore in this picture is not the one that I received from Santa this Christmas. I got this dress but now I am very happy that finally I can wear same dress with my doll. I have seven dresses and pajamas that my dolls and I match. They are very expensive that is why my Mommy only buys when they are on sale. They are from Dollie and Me brand.

I got an email from my sister-in-law asking me if we want to have the Father’s Day in our house. She wants to have it in her house if we cannot make it in our house. Unfortunately, my husband is working 12 hours shift those two weekends. Definitely, I cannot have the Father’s Day in our house. I will spend our Father’s Day in her house instead. I love to shop at Kohl’s. It is not fun to drive because of the traffic. Sometimes I shop online but I like to shop in the store. I am a member of Kohl’s VIP club. Aside from the coupon codes you receive in your email. They also send you extra coupons in the mail which I love. Today, I received three 15% off coupons which will expires next month. Saving is still saving despite you save a little or more. What do I buy with these coupons?
