The magic of her new hometown does not disappoint. Behind the curtain of every window there are secrets waiting to be uncovered. For those searching for more, there's no place like Sedona.

Cal is a curious woman and never stops to discover

Cal is a woman between a tourist and a local and needs to move into her new life, a new town with her Grandma Ruth in Sedona. A woman who is not a quitter and still has a thirst to solve problems even in a new place. I admire Cal she is my favorite character in this book.

This book is hard to put down. I did not see it coming. Tommy, the Drunk man, blows my mind away. He is something else. Friendships are being questioned and people that surround you are hard to trust.  Who to believe and that is why Cal has to trust her instance. A beautiful mystery book that I had a great time reading.

Sometimes, people have a vision to be rich by reaching goals that harm people and their surroundings. Some people just think that money is like magic and can do anything. Thank you to Cal, she saves Sedona, her life, and the people who truly care and love Sedona. This is one is an amazing book to read.

Category:  Adult Fiction 18+, 286 pages
GenreMystery/Crime/Romance/Humor
Publisher:  PePe Press
Release Date: June 2024

Content Rating:  PG13 +M: My book has cursing. The f-bomb. Sexual flirting but closed-door action.

A Note from Annabelle Lewis:

Welcome to the latest installment of The Carrows Family Chronicles. Don't let the words Book 10 scare you! Dive into the adventure without the need for exhaustive backstory, as each page unfolds with its own excitement, color, and twists. While my characters’ pasts enrich their present journeys, rest assured that you can fully immerse yourself in this standalone tale. Prepare to be swept away by the twists, turns, fashion, humor and discoveries awaiting you within these pages.

Book Description:

A Crafty Plan. A Healing Sojourn. A Deadly Twister.

Royal Dutton, close friend and stylist for Charles and Angelica Carrows, has a broken heart and he’s falling to bits. Disturbed by Royal’s escalating depression and dangerous choices, the London-based Carrows family decide to distract Royal with a vacation to an English castle on the dazzling eastern shores of Yorkshire, Britain.

Well-intentioned, they plan a murder mystery using the villagers near the castle as characters who will each play a role in convincing the unsuspecting Royal that there is a murder to be solved for a real-life person.

It should have been fun.

But there are unforeseen consequences. The small town of Boswell Crag and its eccentric villagers will never be the same.

And someone . . . will not survive.
Being greedy is a bad thing
I enjoyed reading this book by Ms. Annabelle Lewis. It is entertaining from the first page until the last chapter. It is hard to put it down and you want to devour reading your book in one setting.
This book is full of adventure, thrills, and fun out loud to read. I adore Royal Dutton and her two American friends and their generosity in helping and healing his broken heart.  The games are fun at the beginning until there is murder.
Being greedy is not a good thing and an illicit relationship will never last. It was fun until it was no longer. I love how the puzzles are being solved.  Being attentive helps a lot too. I wish I read other books from this series before reading the last book.  Definitely, I recommend this book who love to explore mystery and suspense. Definitely, 5 stars read for me.

Meet the Author:

Annabelle Lewis—a pseudonym—is a Minneapolis-based, multi-genre writer, dog lover, incredible mom, and champion of the screwed over. In addition to her touching, yet oddly scathing blog posted on her website, she’s published two exciting fictional series.

The Carrows Family Chronicles are humorous and vengeful caper novels. If you’re interested in a light romp about a family of well-dressed billionaires serving yummy revenge to a string of unsuspecting bad guys who have it coming, look no further.

The second series—The Boston Clairvoyants—is also a set of good versus evil stories. These psychic mystery/thrillers have been edited so they could be read as stand-alones, but as Glinda the Good Witch says – “It’s always best to start at the beginning.” The books have a supernatural hierarchy, a wee bit of romance and mythology, and a solid sense of humor. Lovers of dogs and Dean Koontz fans will adore these books.

Annabelle typically sends out two newsletters a month—so she promises not to annoy her subscribers too much. They typically contain feverish reviews on the latest stuff she is watching or reading, links to book giveaways, contests to win a signed paperback, and book browsing for other author’s work.

Oh, and a warning. Annabelle loves to curse. And there is cursing in her books and her blogs . . . because she’s gotta keep it real.

Book Description:

On a sluggish Chinese river in 1890, American heiress Alice Sheffield falls for Andrew Croft, the Boston soldier of fortune hired to bring her home. Alice looks past Andrew’s limitations and finds an agile mind willing to take a leap of faith.

Out of the turmoil of this relationship are born two sons who grow up knowing nothing of their parents’ former lives. Autie, a Princeton dropout, goes to war seeking adventure and fame; Rory, a morally adrift playboy, runs aground in the Mediterranean.

Caught up in their lives are Laura Eklund, the adopted sister in love with both since childhood; Lois, a bohemian Greenwich Village savant; Margaux du Pret, Belgian war bride on the brink of suicide; Procter Darlington, a young stockbroker living fast in Gay Nineties New York; and Gregory Haines, a disfigured war veteran running liquor in the early days of Prohibition.

Spanning the end of the Gilded Age to the aftermath of the Great War, Tidewater does not pass the torch from one generation to the next, but tells concurrently the stories of these individuals in a quickening pace where plans go awry and events turn on loves lost and found.

A beautiful story of family, love, and heroism
It's a very long book to readorth every page to turn. I loved the book cover as well. It is so pretty. I can imagine myself taking a lot of snapshots of my camera.

Each chapter of the book brings you to so many topics and eras. I like that it takes us to so many places by not leaving our living room.  I have so many favorite characters but I adore Utie the most. The war he went through is so tough yet he fights until the end until the war is over. He is a man of color but is a fighter. I adore Delphina as well. A woman who is not  afraid to know what she wants and reach for her goal and have a better life.

This book takes us to history of which we learned and do better in our lives.
