One And Done Book By S Briones Lim

There are two sides to every story and this is my version…

Silver spoon? Spoiled?

Definitely not how I would describe myself.

After growing up in a dysfunctional home, my future was basically laid out for me—get stuck in Bethel Falls and watch the only girl I ever loved move on to greater things.

Of course, life can be one unpredictable S.O.B., and now that the tables have turned, I've found myself a successful job hundreds of miles away from her.

So now that I have to move back, why am I so scared?

But hey, if I could survive my mother, an obnoxious new stepbrother, and a near death experience, then seeing Rocky again shouldn't be too horrible.

At least, I hope it won't…

I was given an opportunity by Ms. S Briones Lim to read her second book One And Done from her Two Outta Three Series. I do appreciated it and very much thankful for the opportunity. The second book is Jesse's POV. I also read the first book. It is an amazing read. You check it out in Amazon

I rated this book 5 *****'s

It's sweet, it's funny and yet very emotional

I LOVE Jesse's POV. It gives you more about his true self. This poor guy has been through a lot from school, family and life being stinks. I am so glad that he came back as a better person to face Rocky, his high school Bff and his secret love.

Life is sucks for him. I am just happy that it turned out better for him. Thanks to his Dad for not giving up for a second chance to give his son's life the best. He became successful yet something is missing his true love Rocky.

Their opportunity to get back together is full of twist and turn. Checking up on Rocky and found out she has a boyfriend is not easy for this hearth throb. I am so glad that things happen for this two and revealed their mutual feeling for each other. Their first time is the sweetest. I LOVE that scene. Ms. Lim did amazing.

I am looking forward for the third book. I cannot wait.

A beautiful sunrise from chilly New York

I took our rat terrier Mollie to do her thing. It is very chilly outside. The temperature is only 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It feels like winter though autumn just started few weeks ago. I am a morning person. I also love that I witness the sunrise. I missed it most of the time. I went inside the house and grab my camera. I took many photos around me from the sunrise, trees and even the pond.

I took several photos os the sunrise. This photo is my favorite. I think it turned out beautiful. What do you think? I hope that is warm wherever you are. I wish everybody a fun weekend. We have three weekends as Monday is the holiday. It is Columbus Day so the kids have no school.

Return To Me Book by Carolyn Menke

New Release... Eighteen-year-old Sadie Stark, raised by the governor of Pennsylvania, has the world on a string. She doesn’t need the mother who left her any more than she needs the fiance who promises to change. What she needs is to finish college, and keep her wits about her. When war-bound James Pasko returns her stolen clutch, and shows her what’s missing in her life, she gains the courage to search for the truth about her past. What Sadie uncovers rattles her to the core. But James’ steadfast love gives her hope for the future—for the first time—even as the war tears them apart. When James disappears over enemy lines and Sadie makes a startling discovery, she must decide to follow in the footsteps of the mother who gave her away, or face a life of hardship like she’s never known.

Guest Book Review from SAHM of Drama Queens & a Prince

I love nothing more than a good love story. Some of my favorite movies were books turned to movies. I especially love the cliff hanger opening, you know what I am talking about when that opening scene is the current day and then they leave you hanging. Suddenly you are whisked back in time to their story, all while you wonder who were these people you just met. Carolyn Menke does just that to us in Return to Me. She opens in 1972, you meet two characters, you wonder why one of them is there and then you're back in 1942.

I don't want to give too much away about the book, but there is a bit of a love triangle. I found myself constantly battling with the Sadie on which way should she go. Should she fight for what she knows is love or should she marry the other because it is the smart choice and what her family wants. Will either be the right decision? Will either last? Is her love coming into her life fate's way of showing her the right choice?

Just as she makes her decision the worst happens, it is 1942 of course and off to war someone goes. Twists are thrown in Sadie's family and even her own life. While we are waiting to find out if the one fighting in the war makes it home in time Sadie is left to make the decision of a lifetime. The decision her mother had to make years before. Will she follow in her mother's footsteps or will she carve her own path and decide on a different route?

I loved the book and couldn't put it down. Every time I went to put it down it was like watching a television show and having to wait for next week to find out what is going to happen. It was an amazing love story with a great twist of a different kind of love.
