Easy meals for recovery

My husband had an appointment yesterday at the clinic. He had been fasting for the lasts two days for preparation of his surgery. He only can drink fluids. He had a success surgery. The doctor advised him to eat easy meals. I know he is very hungry. I wanted to take him to a fancy restaurant. I will treat him next time maybe this weekend.
