Nikki did it again
She is becoming my new favorite character in Ms. Lauren Carr's book. Of course, Ms. Carr did it again. I do not how she is not running out of brilliant stories to amaze her readers.
This is another amazing story that blows my mind. It is funny at the same you are glued to the story. The book is hard to put down. Nikki and her ability to solve a crime are remarkable. This woman won't stop until she helped the victim. Elmo adds the cuteness of the story with his shenanigans and his fans all over him.
Life is always full of surprises and sometimes innocent get killed because of some evil actions from greedy people. I am so happy that Nikki finds justice for them. I cannot wait what Ms. Carr's new book about Nikki and her dog. These two are perfect teams for each other.

Marriage is a hard work
It takes two people to compromise for marriage to work. It takes a lot of understanding and support from each other. I have been married for 20 years. Sometimes I feel like I want to give up and quit.
This book is a wide opening for married people especially those too busy with their work and have no time for each other. I enjoyed reading this story. I am glad that the characters find their happiness and move on to their new lives. Honesty plays a big role so trust and support from the person we loved the most.
This story feels real especially dealing with marketing and the products. I learned something from reading this book. This book is one of a kind and very unique story. It deals with daily lives, friendship, work, and relationships. If all these things are balanced, married life would be amazing.
Meet the Author:
Interview with William A. Glass, Author of Off Broadway: A Marriage Drama
Jessey: Your novels are largely autobiographical; did you ever think about writing a memoir?
Bill: I spent several years trying to write a memoir, got half-way done, then kept procrastinating working on it because it was boring. In the meantime, I wrote a short story that worked. One day it occurred to me that the main character in the short story was a self-reflection and that I could write a novel about him drawing on my life experiences. I tossed the memoir!
Jessey: Off Broadway has a large number of characters, how do you come up with names for them all?
Bill: The characters in the book were inspired by people I once knew. So, while writing the book, I often used real names. That helped me visualize the characters and capture their idiosyncrasies. The hard part came in going back and renaming everybody in case any of them might still be alive. In doing so, I just tried to pick names that fit the person. I confess that for minor characters, I sometimes resorted to using names of acquaintances or looking up popular names using Google!
Jessey: How long did it take you to write this book from concept to fruition?
Bill: I hate to admit it, but it took fifteen years to complete Off Broadway after I ditched the memoir. I had a very demanding day job coaching college soccer during that time. Parts of the book were written while riding to games on the team bus.
Jessey: What writers have you drawn inspiration from?
Bill: I have many favorite writers, but to answer your question, I’ll say Harper Lee, Jack Kerouac, and J.D. Salinger because their books had the most long-lasting impact on me. More recently, Rick Bragg and Frank McCourt have inspired me to get my story down on paper.
Jessey: Where did you get the inspiration for your cover? Did you design it yourself?
Bill: I’m working with a wonderful indie publisher. His name is Timber Hawkeye. After reading the blurb I wrote, he and I agreed on the title, then he designed the cover. I love it!
Jessey: Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character in Off Broadway?
Bill: If I had written this many years ago, a young Adam Sandler would have made a great Dave Knight! Also, a young Sean Penn comes to mind. He was a hoot in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”. I’m not up to speed enough on current movies to pick a contemporary young actor.
Jessey: What do you do when you are not writing?
Bill: My job as a college soccer coach is fun, but it takes up a lot of time including some nights and weekends. I also enjoy exercising and taking long walks with my wife, Bettina. Our rescue dogs, Scout and Lucky, accompany us. When we can get away, we go camping in the mountains or spend time walking along the South Carolina shore. I often commute to the college where I work on my motorcycle, and that’s a blast. Finally, of course, I always have one or two books going. I read a while every night before turning out the light.

Book Description:
Did
Cinderella live happily ever after? You might think so until you look more closely at the hidden messages in beloved fairy tales. In this book, fairy tales are analyzed in terms of the underlying messages about marriage, agency, power, suffering, and good versus evil, with a focus on how male and female characters differ in each of these areas. The analysis is a data-driven approach that provides clear evidence for the hidden messages in these beloved tales. The end conclusion is not whether fairy tales are good or bad but rather what messages they deliver about life, even if unintentionally.

Cinderella is always my favorite fairy tale Princess
I didn't grow up reading any Princess books back in the Philippines when I was a little girl until I had my daughter almost 16 years ago. Cinderella is always my favorite fairy tale Princess until now. I adore how humble she is despite being treated poorly by her step sisters.
This book opens my mind and gets to learn more about my favorite fairy tale Princess Cinderella it is. This book is very entertaining and what a fantastic read. It tackles real scenarios which will blow your mind away. Secrets are all discovered and when you think of it, it's like a corn maze that wants you to get out and be free.
Life is not always a ray of sunshine and that is why this book is a must to read to reflect what real life is all about. Cinderella is still my favorite fairy tale Princess but I would be a feisty one if I were her.
